The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF), a non-profit dedicated to providing premier musical theatre training to passionate, aspiring performers of all ages and backgrounds, featured more than 100 Omaha youth in a live performance on Friday, June 5 2015, at the Pavilion at Midtown Crossing. The concert was a culmination of BDF’s Summer Intensive, a week-long comprehensive training program facilitated by professional actors, singers, choreographers, directors and agents currently working in the industry.

Students performed alongside the Broadway professionals who had been their teachers, mentors and coaches throughout the week, including Tony Vincent , Quentin Earl Darrington (Ragtime), Ryann Redmond (Bring It On, If/Then), Greg Kamp (Catch Me If You Can, Barry Manilow’s Harmony), Ari Groover (Holler If Ya Hear Me), Kyme (School Daze), and Maxx Reed (Spiderman Turn Off The Dark). Joining BDF students and teaching artists for the grand finale were the choirs of Omaha’s Salem Baptist Church and Abide Ministries. The performance, directed by Otis Sallid (Academy Awards, Sister Act II, Mariah Broadway Dreams Foundation Carey on Broadway, Smokey Joe’s Café), featured music celebrating American popular culture with a play list including hits from such artists as The Beatles, Marvin Gaye, the Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, Shania Twain and Bruno Mars.
