A rock-and-roll extravaganza was had at the newly renamed 42West, formerly XL Nightclub on July 28, 2014. "Broadway the Hardway" was hosted by Tony winner Lena Hall (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) and her rock band The Deafening.  Also on the bill were Tony Vincent (American Idiot, We Will Rock You, Jesus Christ Superstar), Tony Award nominee Billy Magnussen (Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike) and his band Reserved For Rondee, featuring Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages), as well as Rock 'n' Roll Debauchery, featuring cast members from Rock of Ages, Kinky Boots, Book of Mormon and A Night with Janis Joplin. The one-night-only event also featured aerialists and appearances by Emmy Award winner Lance Horne, RuPaul's Drag Race finalist Courtney Act, Kayvon Zand and more.
