IN MY HEAD

TONY VINCENT

IN MY HEAD (2012) Adobe Music Inc.  Tony Vincent unleashes his KILLER vocal and songwriting ability with his 5th release --a highly anticipated and highly polished 4-song EP titled "In My Head."

Vincent says the EP is a new beginning. “The reason it’s called In My Head is I wanted to show a very intimate side of me, something a little more aggressive than people have heard before on my solo releases. I also want them to see a bit of vulnerability, so I discuss the sin in my own life, the downfalls and times I continue to fail and disappoint myself.”

"In My Head" grabs your attention firstly with the power-punch and brit-pop edge of "Starting Over" before taking you on an epic and romantic journey which fills your heart and soul by the end with the gorgeous melody and brokenness of "Where Did I Go Wrong".  The EP is captivating, refreshing and truly breathtaking.

With this release, Vincent stands out as a true and honest artist --a "brit-pop peacock" who has the ability to turn heads with his EPIC kind of music and impact on the mainstream music industry in a MAJOR way!

"In My Head" is produced by Tony Vincent and Ulf Dernevik, mixed by Brian Malouf (Michael Jackson, Everclear, Lit, The Verve Pipe), mastered by Robert Smith (Lady Gaga, Bon Jovi, David Bowie) and part funded by a PledgeMusic.com campaign.

The "In My Head" EP is also available to buy in digital download (MP3) format from CDBaby.com and iTunes.

A BETTER WAY

TONY VINCENT

A BETTER WAY (2007) (Remastered 2008) Adobe Music Inc.  On returning to New York City at the end of 2005, Tony made the decision to forgo any further theatre opportunities so that he could return to his first love and ambition--that of 'creating music that moves'.  Working between Nashville and New York City, Tony collaborated with some of the best writers / producers in the business (namely platinum selling producer, Adam Anders and indie songwriter Nate Campany) during the course of 2006 and he found himself singing from a more comfortable place than previously, producing an EP of honest 'rock influenced pop' that he is proud of.  'A Better Way' was released on September 18, 2007 (digital download re-mastered in 2008) and showcases some of Tony's best music to date.  An earlier version of A Better Way was shot on video by Gerald Slota on location in Woodstock, New York.

ONE DEED

TONY VINCENT

ONE DEED (1997) Starsong / EMI-CMG.  With this project Tony wanted to move in a more personal and less conventional musical direction, so he teamed up with veteran L.A. producer Dennis Matkosky and engineer David Leonard (Bare Naked Ladies, Leann Rimes, Prince).  "The most important thing for me on the second record was to have the freedom to experiment, marrying the programmed, synthesized elements that I was used to, with the creative energy of a live band," says Tony.  That second album, "One Deed," took over a year to write and produce, and reflects Tony's continuing drive to find out who he is as an artist and what he has to say as a songwriter.  "My goal has always been to create songs that are honest and vulnerable, yet connect with the listener in an encouraging way.  If I can't bring you deep enough into a song to give you some degree of hope, in spite of life's many challenges, then i'm not doing my job. There's more than enough darkness and despair in the world to last a lifetime.  I want to do something positive."  At the beginning of 1997 "One Deed", became the theme for the United Way Campaign, and over a two year period was used for radio, television, outdoor and newspaper adverts. Tony also served as the campaign's spokesperson, and conducted a 50 city tour with his band during this time.

TONY VINCENT

TONY VINCENT

TONY VINCENT (1995) EMI.  Tony's big break came when playing a festival in Iowa. He was spotted by the NewsBoys on their "Not Ashamed Tour" and signed a multi-album record deal with Star Song EMI/CMG.  This led to an opportunity to spend three months opening for the NewsBoys on their "Going Public Tour".  It was through that experience that people started to wonder who this 'Tony Vincent' was.  The first solo album, "Tony Vincent," a 100% pop vibe filled with integrity, was co-produced by Brent Bourgeois (Bourgeois-Tagg), and was released in April 1995.  Written and recorded just after Tony's 20th birthday, the album generated four consecutive number-one radio singles ("Simple Things", "Out Of My Hands", "Whole New Spin", "Must Be The Season").  Music videos of "Out Of My Hands" and "Must Be The Season" were released with this album.

LOVE FALLING DOWN

TONY VINCENT

LOVE FALLING DOWN (1993) Lampeeton Music.  Where it all began......"I have been singing and playing drums and percussion since I was 7 years old, but I really wanted to learn to write songs," Tony remembers.  "In high school, a friend introduced me to samplers and synthesizers -- essentially, computers that are tools for making music -- and I immediately became a ‘techno-music’ geek.  I worked long hours after school just to buy my first keyboard."   Many of those remaining school days were spent writing and performing his own songs, which in turn led to his decision to pursue a degree in Music Business via a nationally recognised program at Belmont University in Nashville.

With a combination of what might be called youthful naiveté and artist's intuition, Tony decided to create his own independent record company out of his college dorm room and an impressive demo album was born.  One of the songs featured on this album is a cover of "I Still Believe", a song originally featured in the 80's cult movie "Lost Boys".  But it was to be the title track that was to lead to Tony's breakthrough into the music industry.  In almost no time at all, the original song, "Love Falling Down", began to receive considerable air play on Tony's home town radio station KLYT and went to #1, encouraging Tony and a college friend to attempt to release the single on a broader level.  More and more radio stations picked up the single and on June 21, 1993, it hit the CCM: CHR Radio Chart where it remained for one week.  CHR (Christian Hit Radio) is the most prestigious of the charts and hardest to get on, and "Love Falling Down" was the first independently released single ever to do so.

The same month, Tony performed at "Lamb Jam", a Christian festival concert in Iowa, and when the opening notes of "Love Falling Down" came from the stage, the crowd went wild.  The song was immediately recognised from it's heavy rotational airplay and fans rushed forward to see who this "Tony Vincent" was.  Not only did fans take notice, but the NewsBoys also took more than the usual interest in him at this gig, and subsequently Tony signed with them and opened their 50 city "Not Ashamed Tour".  A muti-album record deal with Star Song Records EMI/CMG then followed in early 1994.
